6. Health & Wellbeing Coaching

image of a tree symbolizing health and wellbeingA holistic definition of health and wellbeing is a combination of physical, intellectual, emotional, and community wellness. The person exploring creative pursuits can sometimes experience a form of unbalance as they pursue their creativity. Often what occurs is that they may not have a healthy relationship between the physical, intellectual, emotional, and community relationship within their day-to-day lives, and their creativity. This imbalance that occurs is a result of being too heavily focused in one area (for instance the emotional) and not creating a harmonious balance between all four aspects.

When the coaching relationship is focused on health and wellbeing, a closer look is taken of these four aspects of the physical, emotional, intellectual, and community wellness. Shaqe looks at the current habits the creative person is utilizing to determine whether all four aspects of health are being used. Sometimes new habits will be suggested in order to provide a more holistic approach to the person’s creative pursuits. The goal essentially is to create a more holistic disposition for the person that supports their creative work.

A second aspect that Shaqe focuses on in health and wellbeing coaching is self-care, diet, exercise, outlook on life, and relaxation practices utilized on a day-to-day repertoire. Too often these aspects are overlooked when a person’s working on a project. They may miss implementing a more holistic life practice that facilitates and promotes their current artistic direction. A focus on health and wellbeing coaching can support the creative person as a whole.
